AH Stander and Agenbag Inc Attorneys is a dedicated boutique law firm based in Lynnwood Park, Pretoria East, Gauteng. The Firm specialises extensively in all criminal and family law-related matters and aims to finalise all matters under its care with efficiency based on expert knowledge and experience.

ADRIAAN HENDRIKUS STANDER
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Mr Rikus Stander obtained his LLB degree through the University of South Africa in 2012. Mr Stander completed his articles of clerkship at Spies and May Attorneys and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2012. After admittance Mr Stander served as a Professional Assistant (Attorney) at Prinsloo Bekker Attorneys in the East of Pretoria. Since his admittance as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa Mr Stander has since gained a multitude of experience in various fields of the law.
Mr Stander realised that there’s a demand for specialised Criminal Defence Attorneys in the Gauteng area and seized this opportunity and opened his own firm. Although Mr Stander predominantly spesialises in Criminal Law, he has a vast amount of experience in other fields of the law such as Family-, Labour- and Commercial Law.
Mr Stander is an exceptional leader who drives our team with support, encouragement and sharing the knowledge he has gained over the years. Mr Stander firmly believes that all individuals have the right to good legal representation and derives great pleasure in seeing fair process being successful.
Mr Stander has a passion for being physically active and participates in triathlons, running events and general sports. Mr Stander is also an avid family man and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and pride himself in being an actively involved husband and father.
Mr Stander is also a keen hunter an enjoys spending time outdoors and being close to nature.
Mr Stander lives by the motto of “keep it simple stupid”.
GERT AGENBAG
DIRECTOR
Mr Gert Agenbag is a Director at AH Stander & Agenbag Inc. and practices extensively in Criminal Law, Family Law, Insolvency Law and General Litigation. Mr Agenbag completed his LLB degree in 2017 at the Northwest- University, Potchefstroom campus.
Mr Agenbag completed his articles in 2020 and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Mr Agenbag joined the AH Stander team in June 2021 and has been integral part of the recent growth of the firm.
Mr Agenbag is highly knowledgeable in various fields of the law and prioritises professional relationships with all his clients in order to achieve the best possible outcome catered for each individual need.
Gert is an extremely sociable person and enjoys social events with his friends and and will be the last person on the dance floor at every wedding he attends. He enjoys participating in sports and rumour has it that he is next in line to wear the number 4 jersey for the Springboks.
Gert lives by the principle “control the controllable’s”.
CHARL-MARI VAN WYK
ATTORNEY
Ms Charl-Mari van Wyk is a an attorney at AH Stander Agenbag Incorporated and practices in Criminal Law, Family Law and Civil Law. Ms van Wyk completed her BA Law (Majoring in criminology) in 2018 and thereafter completed her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria in 2020.
Ms van Wyk joined the AH Stander team in 2021 and completed her articles during 2022 under the competent guidance of our executive director Mr Stander.
Ms van Wyk was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa during the course of 2022 and is currently in charge of our well established Debt-Collection and Correspondent Departments. Ms van Wyk has exceptional attention to detail and passion for various fields of the law which is reflected in the satisfaction of her clients.
Charl- Mari is known as a pocket rocket as her diminutive appearance should not be construed as timid as her fiery personality can take on any opponent that stands in her way.
Charl- Mari is a wildlife and outdoor enthusiast and labels herself as a “professional” bird spotter. Charl- Mari has a wide variety of interests which includes music (Noot- vir- Noot champion), reading and watching sport. She is a true-crime “junkie” and in another live she would’ve been a Criminal Behavioral Analyst.
Charl- Mari has a strong sense of justice and fairness and lives by the famous quote by Malcom X “I’m for truth no matter who speaks it, I’m for Justice no matter who its for or against.”
CHRISTIAAN JANSE VAN RENSBURG
CANDIDATE ATTORNEY
Mr. Christiaan Janse van Rensburg is a candidate attorney who started with his articles at AH Stander Attorneys in April 2022. Mr. Janse van Rensburg completed his BCom Law degree at the Northwest University, Potchefstroom Campus, in 2019, whereafter he proceeded with his LLB degree and graduated in 2021.
Christiaan already had a few years of experience in the legal world, as he worked at a law firm for two years prior to coming to AH Stander. In a very short period of time Christiaan has become a key role player in our firm due to his insistent drive, hard work and patience.
Mr. Janse van Rensburg assists Mr. Stander, our Executive Director, and has therefore, gained ampule experience in Criminal Law, Labour Law and Family Law. Mr. Janse van Rensburg is always ready and willing to help and for that reason you can always depend on him to get the job done.
Mr. Janse van Rensburg choses to spend his time outside of work partaking in physical activities and during the year he competes at various Crossfit competitions. Mr. Janse van Rensburg is a fun-loving guy who always infects a room with his laughter, and you will never hear him complain.
Mr. Janse van Rensburg’s go getter attituded can be summed up with a quote by Wayne Gretzky, that he lives by: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”.
CHANEL LOUW
CANDIDATE ATTORNEY
Ms. Chanel Louw is a Candidate Attorney at AH Stander Agenbag Inc. Ms. Louw completed her LLB degree in 2022 at the University of Pretoria. Ms. Louw started her articles in December 2022 and serves her articles under the experienced guidance of Mr. Agenbag and Mr. Stander.
Ms. Louw seeks to also become a conveyancer after she is admitted as an Attorney.
Chanel is an organized individual and is a self-proclaimed “perfectionist”. Chanel enjoys spending time with her friends and family and enjoys listening to music and going for hikes.
Chanel is fond of the outdoors and enjoys camping and spending her “time-off’ in the Kruger National Park.
Chanel lives by the motto of “the best way to get something done is to begin!”
JAEN- MARI SCHEUN- ABBOTT
PARALEGAL
Ms Scheun- Abbot joined our firm in March 2022 and is a spearhead in our Debt-Collection department. Ms Scheun-Abbott has experience in credit control, debt collecting and general administration duties.
Her excellent people skills and willingness for self-improvement and to go the extra mile caries over to her work environment where she can be fully trusted and relied upon to fulfill all tasks and duties to an excellent standard. She is a target chaser.
Jaen- Mari is extremely loyal, reliable and loved by her colleagues and peers and is known to be a fun loving mother and a strong and dedicated wife. She loves to spend time with her baby boy and values family time above all.
She lives by the phrase: “Let go, let God.”
